Terms of service.

Last updated: 15 August 2026. Using Shopcust means you agree to these terms. If we change them meaningfully, we will email you first.

What we provide

Shopcust gives you the software to build and run an online shop — the design, the pages, the basket and checkout, order handling, and the admin you manage it from, hosted and kept running by us.

What you pay

• The monthly fee for your plan, shown on the pricing page.
• Billed monthly in advance. No setup fee.
• We take no commission on your sales.
• Your payment provider charges their own processing fee, which goes to them.
• If a payment fails we will tell you and give you time to fix it before anything is switched off.

What you own

Everything you put in. Your products, photos, words, orders and customer list are yours. We store and display them so your shop works — that is the only permission you give us, and it ends when you leave. We do not claim ownership of anything you upload.

What we own

The Shopcust software, designs and brand stay ours. You are renting the use of them, not buying them.

What you agree not to do

• Sell anything illegal under Indian law.
• Sell counterfeit goods, or use photos and words you do not have the right to use.
• Use Shopcust to send spam or to defraud people.
• Try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Resell Shopcust itself as your own product.

If you do any of these, we may suspend your shop. Except where the law requires us to act immediately, we will contact you first.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your login details safe.
• Make sure what you sell, and what you say about it, is accurate and legal.
• Deal with your own customers — deliveries, refunds and complaints are between you and them.
• Meet your own tax obligations. We give you the tools; the filings are yours.

Uptime, honestly stated

We work to keep your shop online all the time and we monitor it. We cannot promise it will never go down — nobody honestly can. If something breaks we fix it as fast as we can and tell you what happened. We do not currently offer a written uptime guarantee with compensation; if you need one, talk to us before signing up.

Ending it

You can leave at any time. No notice period, no cancellation fee. You pay for the month you are in, and it stops. Ask us and we will help you export your products, orders and customers.

We may close an account that breaks these terms, or has not paid after we have asked. We will always warn you first and give you a chance to get your data out.

If something goes wrong

We will do our best to put it right. Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous three months. Nothing here removes rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
